Into The Holes

|

Into the holes, the babies go
They’ll lie all snug in the big holes I’ve dug
Into the holes go the babies I stole
There they will stay safe and hidden away
Ahhh
We’ll sit together in the moonlight glow
Close your eyes and let the night go slow
It’s no fun when everyone says you can’t keep those babies
Without them I was lonely, now their mine all mine.
Stay in the forest so you can be free
Squeeze you eyes closed, continue to dream
Stay in the forest where it’s safe and warm
Animals around you keep you from harm
Ahh Ahhh
We’ll sit together in the moonlight glow
Close your eyes and let the night go slow
It’s no fun when no one can see what I can see
People lie and then they die … do you lie my sleeping babe

Lily's Story

Lily’s Secret
Once upon a time, deep in the forest, there was a small deer girl named Lily.
When she was a baby her parents were taken from her and she was left in the forest all alone.
As time passed Lily grew to be clever and strong.
On warm summer nights she would sit for hours by the stream and wonder if might be fun to live in the water.
Lily had made a small shack for herself in the woods and called it kissin’ town.
She was no longer afraid to be alone.
She knew her enemies by sight and by smell and she knew how to enter the near by villages un-seen.
There were many nights where Lily would sneak into a village to steal babies, claiming that they still smelled fresh so she had better burry them in the forest quickly.
Although small, Lily had learned how to defend herself against the towns’ people. She was quite dangerous.
Afternoons would go by and Lily would play her musical saw in the woods and invite her friends over for tea parties.
Lily: “Benjamin bunny would you like another sugar cookie” She would ask as Benjamin clumsily tipped over his teacup.
Lily: ‘Mr. Raccoon, would you kindly stop your sneaking about”.
Lily did talk a lot and quite often she would not make any sense. Or so you would think.
One day as the afternoon was going by she said, “I’ll tell you a secret that I have.”
Benjamin bunny began to shake and dropped his carrot into the tea.
Mr. Raccoon’s eyes became wide and curious.
Madame Butterfly and the Squirrels fluttered around anxiously as Lily leaned in to tell her special secret.
Lily: “One day I am going to have big horns on my head like my father Buck!” Lily whispered intently.
Madame Butterfly: “Lily, they are called Antlers, and I can already see them.”
Lily: “Yes, but my Horns are special. Before my Mother was taken away she told me that one day the magic would start and I would learn what my Antlers can DO!”
Benjamin Bunny: “ wh- what can they do?” cried Benjamin Bunny stomping his feet in excitement.
Lily looked down and shuffled her feet into the moss.
Lily: “I don’t know yet.”
Madame Butterfly: “Don’t worry Lily” said Madame Butterfly, “your antlers are beautiful and when the time is right you will know”.
Lily smiled and started to dance wildly on the table. Everyone laughed and smiled. They continued their party late into the night. No one even noticed when Lily snuck off towards the Village in search of babies.

Murdered For Kissing

Murdered for Kissing
I am just a fawn
a tired little fawn
My mom and dad are missing
Murdered for too much kissing
I sometimes fear my heart won’t heal.
I have no cure at all.
My Mom said
“deer, don’t you worry dear, I’ll watch you when your sleeping and
protect you when your dreaming.”
But when I awake she isn't there and I have no one at all.

SHAKE THE TOPS OF THE TREES
Black storm cloud, come shake the top of the trees, the mad rushing of leaves
Cling to the boughs, shake rattle & moan, but this is our home, up here with the crows, oh-oh
Rain cleans our dirty faces. Branches that scratch all the traces.
Calling us upwards we climb to find all that we leave behind, in time
In time, sway in time, sway in time, sway in time
INSTRUMENTAL
Calling out the wind, oh-oh. It answers back again, oh-oh. And together we will say
Rain cleans our dirty faces. Branches that scratch all the traces.
Calling us upwards we climb to find all that we leave behind
Where’s your momma gone? Where’s your momma gone?
Far, far away. Far, far away.
Shake rattle & moan, left alone, but this is my home.
Oh-oh-oh

PIGEON IS A DIRTY BIRD
Murder at the Devil’s trough
Stupid left the skylight open
Picking up where you left off
Pigeon is a dirty bird
Should I wonder where you are
Searching with a wide-eyed knowing
I could never dream that hard
Pigeon is a dirty bird
Spring ain’t never been so wrong
Stupid met her twilight hoping
Silence made a sweeter song
Pigeon is a dirty bird
Pigeon is a dirty bird
Pigeon is a dirty bird

HUNTER
Don’t wake me up. I feel just fine.
Leave me behind. The night is all mine.
I hide inside, Dreams are not lies
Stay in bed, Rest my head, Close eyes
Stay in bed, Rest my head, Close eyes
Lost in the dark I cannot see.
I must go back into my dream
so he can come for me.
Run and run
It’s just begun
Only in my dreams will he come to me.
Underneath the sheets I am a little hunter
I will dig and dig it big.
‘Til I hit bones and lonely souls
They float up, out of the holes.
Stay in bed, rest my head, close eyes.
Stay in bed, rest my head, close eyes.
Lost in the dark I cannot see.
I must go back into my dream
so he can come for me.
Run and run
It’s never done.
Only in my dreams will he come to me.
Underneath the sheets I am a little hunter.

Deep In The Woods

Deep in the Woods
I built a house
And no one knew the way.
I carpeted the floor with moss so I could sit for hours and play.
The howling of my saw will tell my story best. It sings to the babies so they can rest.
So sleep my little ones.
Don’t breath too deep, for I will show you all the horrors that come from sleep.
Feel the night sinking in. Breath in deep at my saw sings.

Time For Bed Sleepy Head

TIME FOR BED, SLEEPYHEAD
It’s time for bed, sleepy head
Turn out the lights, though you might want to play instead
Night has come, there’s no more sun
No more time for you to be outside in the mud.
Go to sleep my little one.
Rest your head, close your eyes and suck your thumb
Darkness has come. Dreams can be fun
Close your eyes, no more light
One more kiss then off to bed and sleep
Dream a dream, in your sleep
One that’s full of monsters in the closet and ghosts that creep.
Don’t be scared of what’s there
Look inside the dark of night, if you dare.
I promise you, will be ok,
if we stay together through the night until it’s day.
Darkness has come. Dreams can be fun
Close your eyes, no more light
One more kiss then off to bed and

Morning Night
04:27
|

In The Morning Night.
you say that good things happen
when you come to my cabin
adventures in the night
we forget, in the morning light
in the morning light
soft little eyes
protect us from the bright, on the other side
of the morning night
We are sleeping babies, cuddle up beside me.
Why can’t we stay in my dream
Where I can keep all these things
In my Kissing Town. My kissin’ town
We are sleeping babies, cuddle up beside me
A secret place in the trees
My Rabbit died and you held me.
Our Kissing Town, Our kissin’ town
Movements imply
They are little lies
We built in the dark,
That spark…. Will leave a mark.
Other side of town,
Came to tear us down.
Cut down the trees
Hold on to memories
